Clayton Anderson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Redlands, a Master’s Degree from California State University, Chico, and his Juris Doctorate from Cal Northern School of Law. He has been a member of the California State Bar since 1999 after a career in international agriculture development. He was certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate in 2006.
Clayton Anderson served as chairman of the Butte County Bar Association Section on Trusts and Estates for two years and is currently the President of the Butte County Bar Association. Clayton Anderson has also been an adjunct professor at California State University, Chico since 2001 where he teaches Estate Planning in the Finance Department.
Annual Gift Tax Exemption
The Annual Gift Tax Exemption for 2009 has been adjusted to $13,000 for gifts to individuals. A donor may now gift single or cumulative gifts totaling $13,000 for each donee within the calendar year. This is an increase of $1,000 over the exemption amount for 2008.
